In Australia, camping is one of the most popular holiday alternatives throughout the Easter long weekend. With National Parks South Australia anticipating a 100 per cent occupancy rate in the Murray River National Park this Easter, a huge crowd is inevitable. Avoid the crowds of thousands of campers this Easter by taking a relaxing houseboat Easter holiday.

Sophie Thomson’s parents fostered in her a love of the environment and gardening as she grew up and worked in the family nursery in the Adelaide Hills. What began as a need evolved into a significant motivation in her life as she progressively developed in-depth knowledge of the nursery’s vast collection of rare and uncommon plant species.

Sophie opens her Sophie’s Patch garden to thousands of visitors twice a year, in the spring and fall, so that they may see and learn from her gardening knowledge firsthand. The vast enclosed orchard, where geese mow the grass and eat fallen fruit, chickens and ducks control troublesome insects, and all of them fertilise as they go, is one of the most visited places. This Easter 2022 will be an exemplary event as it will mark the 15th open garden at Sophie’s Patch. For more information, please visit the Easter Open Garden 2022 here.
